Chelsea “very close” to signing Cesare Casadei from Inter | OneFootball

Chelsea are understood to be close to signing Cesare Casadei from Inter, although Inter are firm on the asking price of €20 million for the talented youngster.

According to Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Cesare Casadei is close to joining Chelsea from Inter. The Premier League club has offered a fixed part of €12 million plus bonuses. Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri management is asking for a transfer fee of around €15 million plus bonuses of €5 million.

The ongoing summer transfer window has witnessed a plethora of clubs showing interest in the services of the 19-year-old midfielder.

The report claims that Torino wanted the player to be included in a deal for Gleison Bremer. Nice and Sassuolo all have also made enquiries about Casadei. The Neroverdi were ready to allow Inter to add a buy-back clause to the agreement. It is suggested that Inter are awaiting Chelsea’s next offer for the youngster. After offloading Casadei, Inter intend to sign Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund.
