Chelsea and Manchester City will contest the last piece of domestic silverware of the 2021/2022 season on Sunday when the pair meet at Wembley in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup final.

The two sides have already contested this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup final with The Cityzens running out 3-1 winners at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium in March.

Ahead of the two clubs’ latest meeting, FAWSL Full-Time have taken a look at the facts and figures as we summarise Chelsea v Manchester City ‘in numbers’.

5 – The last five Vitality Women’s FA Cup finals have been won by either Chelsea or Manchester City. Arsenal were the last team other than those two clubs to lift the trophy in 2016.

1 – This will be the very first time that Chelsea and Manchester City have met in a Vitality Women’s FA Cup final. The two sides’ meeting in this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup final saw the pair contest a domestic cup final for the first time in history.

3 – Chelsea forward Sam Kerr has scored in each of her last three domestic cup final appearances for the club – a hat-trick in the 2020/2021 FA Women’s Continental League Cup final, a brace in the 2020/2021 Vitality Women’s FA Cup final and one in this year’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup final.

4 – The two clubs have already met on four occasions this season with Chelsea winning three of those matches.

7 – Internationals from the following seven countries have never scored in a Vitality Women’s FA Cup final – those being Denmark, Germany, Jamaica, Norway, Russia, Spain and Sweden. That could change at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

19 – The two clubs have won no less than 19 trophies between them in the last 11 years – Chelsea are ahead of Manchester City 11 to eight.

2020 – Chelsea and Manchester City have met at Wembley once before in the 2020 Women’s FA Community Shield. Chelsea won that match 2-0 thanks to goals from Millie Bright and Erin Cuthbert.

50,000 – More than 50,000 tickets have been sold for this season’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup final meaning that the attendance record for a final of 45,423 should be smashed.
