Chelsea sign teenage defender Mamadou Sarr

Chelsea have signed French teenager Mamadou Sarr Sarr from Strasbourg on an eight-year contract to keep him at the club until 2033.

Strasbourg is another club owned by Chelsea owners BlueCo and the player has now switched to the Premier League side after impressing in Ligue 1 in the 2024/25 season.

The France youth international initially came through the academy at Lyon before joining Strasbourg last season and going on to feature 28 times for the club.

With the club completing the signing already, it means that Sarr could be in line to make his Chelsea debut at the FIFA Club World Cup.
