According to L’Équipe, Chelsea have recently shown an interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Nordi Mukiele (26), however, the Frenchman is now expected to remain with Les Parisiens.

Mukiele had, for much of the January transfer window, looked to be heading out of PSG. Bayern Munich showed great interest in signing the former RB Leipzig full-back. However, despite the player reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Bavarian side, a move did not take form, and Sacha Boey’s arrival at the Allianz Arena spelt an end to their pursuit.

With his game time limited at PSG, Mukiele was open to a departure, and as Bayern Munich’s interest waned, Chelsea, who are without captain Reece James due to injury, began to show an interest in the France international, according to L’Équipe. However, there is no chance of Mukiele leaving on transfer deadline day.

Meanwhile, Les Parisiens are looking to offload Layvin Kurzawa (31) before the closure of the window, and an unnamed club has submitted an offer.
