After a gutsy win away from home in the first-leg for Chelsea, the return fixture in London was perfectly poised.

The visitors got the start they were looking for however, after an early flurry of possession saw them carve out a few big chances.

It took until nearly the half-hour mark when Aitana Bonmatí struck the opener for Barcelona to level the score in the tie.

After the break the complexion of the tie was was turned on its head, as Kadeisha Buchanan was sent off for her second yellow-card on the night, forcing Chelsea to see off the remaining 30 minutes with only 10 players.

The dam would finally break after plenty of Barcelona pressure, thought it came from the penalty-spot after Bonmatí went down in the box.

Fridolina Rolfö stepped up and dispatched the penalty with aplomb, sending Barça into the Champions League final.

The Spanish outfit will now await the winner of Lyon and PSG.
