Chelsea found the goal they were looking for after piling the pressure on the hammers, as Niamh Charles fired the Blues in front inside 15 minutes.

The Chelsea dominance was clear after the goal, and the visitors perhaps should have extended their lead but they appeared to have left their shooting boots at home in the first half.

It did not take long for Chelsea to rediscover those boots after the restart however. The lead was extended inside five minutes in the second interval by Pernille Harder, who may have just put the game to bed.

A Sophie Ingle strike just past the hour mark put the final icing on the Chelsea cake before a fourth in stoppage time, ensuring the Blues secured all three points to reclaim first place in the Women’s Super League.

Arsenal cruise past Everton

Scorers: Foord 29â€Č, 39â€Č, McCabe 34â€Č, Wubben-Moy 42â€Č

Arsenal scored four goals in 13 minutes in the first half to breeze past Everton and reclaim their three point lead over Manchester City in the top-three.

The Gunners found the goal they were pushing for during the most of the opening 30 minutes, as Caitlin Foord somehow got a shot away from close range, which trickled past keeper the give Arsenal the lead.

Arsenal’s lead was doubled only a few minutes later, as Katie McCabe capitalised on some lacklustre Everton defending to fire in the Gunners’ second from the edge of the box.

Goals from Caitlin Foord and Lotte Wubben-Moy before the break all but wrapped up the three points for Londoners, blowing the doors off of Everton in a matter of minutes.

Despite a late Katja Snoeijs strike, the four-goal flurry to end the first half would be all Arsenal would need to secure a vital three points to reclaim their lead in the Women’s Super League top-three.
