Chelsea could be boosted by the return to action of two important players when they take on Preston North End in the FA Cup this weekend.
Ben Chilwell hasn’t featured for the club since the end of September due to a hamstring injury, but an update posted to the club’s official website confirmed on Friday that the England left-back has now joined full team training and is in the reconditioning phase.
And it’s a similar story for Carney Chukwuemeka, who has made just two appearances this season due to a knee injury, but is also back in full training.
Benoît Badiashile could also be in contention to feature against Preston having begun reconditioning, but the club suggest Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Robert Sanchéz and Lesley Ugochukwu will remain sidelined for the foreseeable future.
