Chelsea player expected to leave is holding out on one club only right now

One Chelsea player who is fully expected to be departing the club this transfer window appears to be holding out for a move to one club only, thus potentially creating some problems for all involved.

Chelsea are trying to sell a handful of players before the end of this month when the latest summer window slams shut, but the issue is finding clubs for these players and getting them to go.

Sources: Chelsea make contact with Liverpool regarding signing one of their players this month!

The Blues need to make their squad smaller before the window is out and also balance the books financially and for PSR reasons.

One player who simply has to leave is goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, and you’d expect that the last thing he or Chelsea wants is for him to have to stay at the club this season. He wont play and will probably just rot training with the U21s. So he has to go.

Kepa wants Madrid again

According to our own writer Simon Phillips in his latest set of transfer updates on his Substack site, Kepa is still waiting to join Real Madrid.

Phillips writes:

[Kepa Arrizabalaga is] one of the ‘problem’ players if you like. SPTC sources have been told he is still waiting for Real Madrid and wants to go there. Something has to give somewhere on this one because neither party wants to be anywhere near each other anymore (Chelsea and Kepa).”

You’d expect something to move with this situation very soon now as we head closer to the final week of the transfer window.
