Chelsea have not approached Real Madrid to discuss the prospect of signing Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin this summer.
Chelsea have been linked with a move to sign the 25-year-old as the Blues look to bolster their goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
Lunin is open to a move away from Real Madrid as he looks for a regular role, following Thibaut Courtois’ return from an ACL injury.
The goalkeeper made 31 appearances in all competitions last season with Courtois sidelined and played a crucial role in Real Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League success under Carlo Ancelotti.
Reported interest from Chelsea has led to speculation over a swap deal involving Kepa Arrizabalaga, who spent last season on loan at Real Madrid and is free to leave Stamford Bridge.
Kepa is keen to rejoin Real Madrid and Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the Spaniard is giving priority to the European champions, despite a proposal from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad. However, there have been no negotiations to discuss Lunin moving in the opposite direction as things stand.
