Osimhen has been incredible for Napoli this season. He has scored 20 goals in all competitions, including 18 in the league to fire the Partenopei to the top of the table.

The 24-year-old is spearheading the Italian club’s charge for their first Scudetto in over 30 years. They are 18 points clear at the top of Serie A.

Napoli topped Liverpool in their Champions League group and have a 2-0 first-leg advantage over Eintracht Frankfurt from their round-of-16 game in Germany. Osimhen opened the scoring.

Unsurprisingly, his exploits have attracted interest from Europe’s top clubs looking for a centre-forward.

Chelsea need goals, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggling for form upon his return to London. The former Arsenal man could be on his way out of the club this summer.

Kai Havertz continues to blow hot and cold and could leave too. The Blues need a striker of Osimhen’s ilk.

United also want a striker to lead their line when Wout Weghorst leaves. The Dutch striker is at the club on loan and has netted one goal in ten games. He will not sign permanently, and United need someone to replace him.

Atletico are the latest club to join the race. Leading striker Alvaro Morata has bagged only seven league goals this term and manager Diego Simeone will be looking for someone that can add better numbers.

Osimhen is fast, strong, holds up the ball very well to link with teammates, and can finish half chances rapaciously. He works hard defensively and never gives up.

The Nigerian international will have plenty of suitors, but they must stump up serious money for him.

Napoli value him at €140 million, and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is one of the most dogged men on any negotiating table. De Laurentiis will likely not budge for anything less if he even agrees to sell.

It is unclear which club will pay that amount right now, but the interest is there and purses could open.
