Chelsea target Rafael Leao wants Milan to pay the legal compensation from the ongoing Sporting Lisbon case in a potential new deal at the Rossoneri.

Speculation has been rife around Leao, who has also attracted interest from Manchester City in recent days. It was stated that his agent Jorge Mendes had tried to set up a late deal with Paris Saint-Germain in order to place Cristiano Ronaldo at Milan in the summer.

Carlo Laudisa has now reported that with Leao wanting a wage of €7 million per season on a five-year deal at Milan, he has also asked the Rossoneri to put an end to the legal case involving Sporting and the Serie A champions pay €19 million (including interest) to the Portuguese side.

The wage demand could reduce to €6 million per season but that would still mean that Milan have to pay a total of €60 million.

A meeting did take place between Paolo Maldini and Sporting regarding the compensation and an agreement back in April was reached for about €14 million. Lille also wanted to pay a part of that sum, but Leao didn’t agree to that.
