Sections of the crowd in attendance at the Premier League meeting between Chelsea and Manchester City on Sunday made use of the opportunity to send a clear message to the board at the former.
This came in relation to Conor Gallagher’s long-rumoured move to Spain, with Atlético Madrid.
Negotiations have been ongoing between the respective boards at Chelsea and Atlético for some time now, in efforts to thrash out a deal for midfielder Gallagher to join the latter.
To date, despite the England international having gone as far as to fly out to the Spanish capital, however, no definitive agreement has been found.
And, as alluded to above, some of a Chelsea persuasion, in turn, have evidently not yet given up hope of Gallagher staying put.
The Blues kicked their Premier League campaign into gear on Sunday evening, ultimately slipping to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City.
With just 20 minutes on the clock in west London, though, considerable sections of the home crowd in attendance at Stamford Bridge were heard belting out chants of ‘Conor Gallagher, Conor Gallagher’.
