After plying his trade for multiple clubs, Georgiy Sudakov joined Shakhtar Donetsk in 2020. He took some time before establishing himself as a reliable player. His impressive performances over the years have made him a regular feature on the team sheet.

The Ukrainian midfielder has netted nine goals and provided six assists in 33 games this season. He is a creative pick in the middle of the park and plays as an attacking midfielder. He has got good hold onto the ball, making him a press-resistant player.
The 21-year-old likes to carry the ball to the final third to create threats. He is good at crossing and breaking lines with his passes. However, his off-the-ball movement needs to be improved as he often disrupts the shape of the team.
Chelsea are actively participating in the market as they look to strengthen the unit ahead of next season. The ongoing campaign hasn’t been fruitful for them as they not only failed to fight for the Premier League title but couldn’t even secure a Premier League berth.
Hence, the Blues must take the necessary steps to build a strong unit. The arrival of Georgiy Sudakov will add value and depth to the squad. He is a good pick for the midfield and can serve the club in the long run alongside countryman Mykhailo Mudryk.
Though he might not make a direct place in the lineup, he could be used as a substitute. Sudakov’s market value is estimated to be £65m, which shouldn’t be an issue for the English club. It remains to be seen if the Blues will make an official move or not.
