Marsh is currently the Swans' Head of Football Operations, having been appointed back in the summer of 2023.

First joining from Huddersfield Town back in 2022, he hasn't spent too long at the Swansea.com Stadium, but he now looks set for a move to the Premier League.

Marsh hasn't overseen a huge amount of success this term, seeing Michael Duff struggle before he was replaced with Luke Williams.

Even Williams has struggled to get results at times, with their 4-0 home defeat against Leeds United failing to do much to boost the Welsh side's confidence.

And he could be set to leave them in 17th place in the Championship table - not an impressive position considering they did reasonably well under Russell Martin last season.

Josh Marsh's role future role at Chelsea

Romano has reported that he will be active for the Blues, Strasbourg and other clubs that are set to be part of the BlueCo group in the future.

In terms of his role at Stamford Bridge, he looks set to be loans manager, which could mean he oversees those out on loan from the West London side and potentially helps to make key decisions on whether young players should go out on loan and where to.

Plenty of players have gone out on loan to the EFL this season, including Bashir Humphreys who joined Swansea during the summer.

Mason Burstow is another player Marsh will likely have an eye on, with the striker struggling at Sunderland for much of the campaign so far. In terms of those who are currently at Stamford Bridge,

Cesare Casadei's future needs to be handled with some care, otherwise the Italy youth international risks failing to fulfil his potential.

He spent the first half of the campaign at Leicester City, but didn't enjoy the best time under Enzo Maresca and wasn't one of the first names on the teamsheet at the King Power Stadium.

It's a no-brainer for Josh Marsh to make the move to Chelsea

The Blues haven't done well under their current ownership.

It's pretty safe to say that.

However, it's clear that this failure isn't through a lack of enthusiasm, with Todd Boehly investing a lot of money into the club since his arrival in the English capital.

And there's a chance the West London side could be successful in the future.

They certainly have some promising young players still - and Marsh should enjoy his role playing a part in their development because of that.
