Buonanotte was on loan at Leicester City last season and made 35 appearances in all competitions scoring six goals and registering three assists.

The 20-year-old is predominantly a number ten, who can also play on the right and will provide cover in both those positions for Chelsea.

Chelsea still trying to move Nicolas Jackson on

With Buonanotte looking likely to come in Chelsea are still trying to move Nicolas Jackson on, and the striker still hasn’t left.

Jackson is thought to be close to a move to Bayern Munich on loan, but the final details haven’t been agreed with Chelsea wanting an obligation to buy and not an option.

The Blues are hoping a Premier League club might come in for Jackson, with the most likely of those Aston Villa, however it’s unclear if they have the finances for such a deal.

Chelsea would be looking for loan fee of around £10m plus an obligation to buy for a minimum of £50m you would expect.
