Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is a target for as many as four Championship clubs ahead of Monday’s deadline day according to reports.

Datro Fofana is one of a number of players Chelsea are looking to move on before the window shuts, but as of yet they haven’t found a solution.

Chelsea signed the Ivorian from Norwegian side Molde in a deal reported to be worth £8-£10m in January 2023, but he’s only made four appearances for the club.

Championship clubs interested in signing David Datro Fofana

Fofana has had a number of loan spells during his time at Chelsea, which have seen him play for Hertha Berlin, Burnley and Turkish side Goztepe, but none of those sides decided to sign him on a permanent basis.

The 22-year-old was recalled from Turkey in January due to a knee injury and is at Chelsea waiting for his future to be sorted.

Datro Fofana has made just four appearances for Chelsea.

However, there might be another escape route for the striker, and journalist Peter O’Rourke has provided an update.

He took to X.com and said:

“Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana is a target for as many as four Championship clubs on loan and for three European sides in a permanent deal before Monday’s transfer deadline. #CFC”

Chelsea exploring move for Conrad Harder

Whilst the Blues are trying to sell Datro Fofana, they are exploring a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Conrad Harder incase Nicolas Jackson leaves on a permanent deal.

Chelsea have ordered Jackson to return to London, after Liam Delap got injured against Fulham, even though the striker was in Munich to finalise his loan move.

The Blues are prepared to let Jackson leave on a permanent deal, and have made enquiries for Harder incase that happens.

The 20-year-old played second fiddle to Viktor Gyokeres last season, and scored five goals and registered five assists in 28 league appearances.
