“Chelsea are on it” – Fabrizio Romano with a timely update on Blues double Dutch deals | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano has come in with another timely reminder on Chelsea’s attempts to sign two Dutch players this window.

People will complain about journalists like Romano etc just always updating with the same news yet these same people will always constantly be asking them for updates. These guys will update when there is something to update. Begging them for updates only forces them to put the same report out time and time again.

Chelsea are trying to get deals done to sign both Jorrel Hato from Ajax, and Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, and both are getting to the point that they’re dragging on now. But that is because Chelsea are trying to get the best deals possible for both of them.

The latest on Hato is that Chelsea are holding firm on the fee they want to pay and Ajax might have to agree to it regardless because they need the money in.

And Romano had his latest out on Simons to Chelsea this morning after that one went a bit quiet over the last few days.

Fear not, Chelsea are working. None of the deals have broken down at this point, and Romano assures Chelsea fans that the club are on it for both players.

In one of his latest posts on socials, he says:

“Chelsea are ON IT for BOTH (Hato and Simons). 💣💣💙”

Will they get done?

Many people are no doubting whether Chelsea will get these deals done, or both of them done. I understand why, and I’m not fully convinced they get over the line either.

But deep down I believe they will get done. I think Chelsea will soon get fees they’re happy with for both players.
