Barcelona are preparing for tonight’s Champions League clash away to Royal Antwerp after their league defeat to Girona on Sunday. Alejandro Balde could start at left-back, report Sport. The Spain international hasn’t started since Barça’s 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on November 25.
Héctor Fort, who has yet to make his debut for the first team, could be given an opportunity tonight with the idea of resting Joao Cancelo. In the centre of defence, Jules Koundé and Andreas Christensen look set to get the nod from Xavi Hernández.
Oriol Romeu, Fermín López and Sergi Roberto could all feature in midfield on the night and there will also be changes up front. Joao Félix is expected to play on the left, with Lamine Yamal supporting the frontline from the right. The teenager has not started since the game against Rayo. And Ferran Torres – a substitute in the last three games – could be chosen to spearhead the attack in Belgium.
Iñaki Peña – Fort, Koundé, Christensen, Balde – Romeu, Sergi Roberto, Fermín – Lamine Yamal, Ferran, Joao Félix.
