The Italian coach has already won the trophy four times as a tactician, twice at Milan in 2003 and 2007, then again at Real Madrid in 2014 and 2022.

He is also the only man to have won all five of the major European League titles in Italy, England, Spain, France and Germany.

Aurelien Tchouameni is injured, so Edouard Camavinga steps into midfield with Toni Kroos playing his final club game before retirement.

Jude Bellingham starts behind Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, but goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois takes the gloves, as Andriy Lunin suffered from flu symptoms.

There are reports that Vinicius also suffered from a high temperature over the last couple of days.

Borussia Dortmund are the underdogs going into this fixture, especially as Julien Duranville, Mateu Morey and Abdoulaye Kamara are out of action.
