AC Milan currently fall behind only Inter in Serie A when it comes to the average attendance at their home games during the 2023/24 season.

As reported by Calcio e Finanza (via Calciomercato.com), the Rossoneri have averaged around 1,000 fans less than Inter so far this season. The Nerazzurri lead the way with 72,888 fans, whilst Milan are second in Serie A with 71,818.

There is a good chance that the ranking will change come the Derby della Madonnina on Monday night, as Milan are the home team and it will be a sold-out fixture. That will either reduce the gap or even move Milan above Inter.

It is natural for Inter to be slightly ahead given their great form this season but the gap is very small.

As for the rest of the division, Roma rank third with an average of 62,578 piling into the Stadio Olimpico, whilst current Serie A champions Napoli are fourth with 47,248.

Juventus are not even in the top five with an average of 39,778 at the Allianz Stadium, enough to put them sixth overall behind Lazio. The Allianz Stadium holds 41,507.

The top 10 of the list is rounded out by Genoa, Fiorentina, Lecce and Bologna. The bottom three are Sassuolo with 14,135, Monza with 12,159, and Empoli with 10,272.
