Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli looks set to seal a late move away from Parkhead.
That’s according to a claim made by Pete O’Rourke, with the journalist revealing in a post on Twitter that the 26-year-old left-back has agreed a deal to join Russian Premier Liga side FK Ufa ahead of the closure of the Russian transfer window on Tuesday evening.
In his post, O’Rourke said: “Understand Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo has agreed a deal to join FK Ufa before the Russian transfer window closes.”

Considering just how poor Bolingoli has been since his £3m move to Parkhead back in the summer of 2019, it would appear extremely advisable for Ange Postecoglou and Michael Nicholson to do everything in their power to get the defender’s proposed switch to FK Ufa through prior to the closure of the Russian transfer window this evening.
Indeed, despite having spent two and a half years in Glasgow, the £1.35m-rated Belgian has made a grand total of just 31 appearances for the Bhoys, with only two of these outings coming under the management of Postecoglou.
And, considering the 26-year-old who Neil Lennon dubbed a “rogue” is reported to be earning a whopping £15k-per-week at Celtic Park – something which means Bolingoli has cost the Hoops roughly £2m in wages over his 138 weeks at the club, in addition to his £3m transfer fee – it is clear for all to see that this is money being poured down the toilet by the Bhoys.

As such, with the 56-year-old manager having already proven that he is adept at signing incredibly talented yet undervalued players for minimal transfer fees during his tenure at Parkhead, freeing up £15k-a-week in his wage budget, as well as whatever fee the club would receive from the sale of the player Bill Leckie dubbed “arrogant
