Arsenal welcomed Everton at the Emirates Stadium earlier this afternoon as they looked to secure a victory in front of their home fans on the final day of this Premier League campaign. The Gunners made a good start to the contest and got themselves ahead in the 27th minute courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli’s penalty. Eddie Nketiah doubled Arsenal’s lead just four minutes later before Donny van de Beek got a goal back for the visitors in the first half injury-time. Arsenal went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.

Cedric Soares made the points secure for the Gunners in the 56th minute with a good goal. Arsenal scored two more times via a goal each from Gabriel and Martin Odegaard. The match ended with Mikel Arteta’s side securing a dominant 5-1 win at North London.

He made one good save in the game but will be disappointed for not keeping a clean sheet.

RB: Cedric Soares – 9/10

Soares had a good game defensively and was a real threat going forward. He finished the game with a goal and an assist to his name.

CB: Rob Holding – 6.5/10

The English defender made two good clearances and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring more than once.

CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10

The Brazilian centre-back kept a solid shape on the defensive third of the field and got his name on the scoresheet in the 59th minute.

LB: Nuno Tavares – 6.5/10

Tavares got stuck in with solid tackles and made one good chance in the Everton half.

CM: Mohamed Elneny – 6.5/10

He distributed the ball with conviction but struggled to create chances going forward.

CM: Granit Xhaka – 6.5/10

The Swiss sensation was lively on the ball but could last only 62 minutes.

Saka had a few bright moments in the attacking end of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.
