The forward started his career at Luton when the club were in the National League and featured in three FA Trophy games before securing a switch to Fulham.

During his time with the Cottagers, Woodrow scored 12 goals in 66 games for the club.

Signed by Barnsley in 2019, the 27-year-old went on to produce a host of impressive performances for the club.

As well as scoring 16 goals in League One for the Tykes, the forward also managed to find the back of the net on 31 occasions in the second-tier.

With Luton looking to launch another push for a top-six finish in the upcoming campaign, they will be hoping that Woodrow will be able to provide some firepower during the opening stages of the term.

After the Hatters announced his arrival, Woodrow admitted on Twitter that he is delighted to be back at the club.

The Verdict

This could turn out to be a great move by Luton if Woodrow is able to maintain his consistency as well as his fitness.

Although the forward only managed to score four goals in the Championship last season, it is important to note that he was playing in a Barnsley side which struggled to create chances throughout the year.

Having sealed a switch to a team that demonstrated in the previous term that they can be a match for anyone in the second-tier, Woodrow will be confident in his ability to rediscover his best form.

The forward’s arrival may also force the likes of Elijah Adebayo, Harry Cornick and Cameron Jerome to step up their performance levels which could have a positive impact on Luton’s fortunes in the Championship.
