Casemiro played a key role as Manchester United beat Barcelona to progress to the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The Brazilian, who was celebrating his 31st birthday on Thursday, was in the starting lineup for the match at Old Trafford.
As a former Real Madrid player, Casemiro would have had extra motivation to help his side to victory and he did just that.
United fell 3-2 behind on aggregate when Robert Lewandowski scored a controversial penalty in the 18th minute.
But The Red Devils came roaring back after the break and managed to win the tie thanks to second half goals from Fred and Antony.

United may well have been knocked out of the Europa League had it not been for Casemiro's epic goal-saving defending in the first half at Old Trafford.
Barcelona had a golden opportunity to go two goals up in the tie when David de Gea carelessly gave the ball away at the end of the first half.
Sergi Roberto jinked away from Lisandro Martinez and it looked as if he would make it 4-2 on aggregate to the away side.
But Casemiro was not about to let that happen.
The Brazilian charged across and managed to deny the Spaniard with an epic challenge.
The ball fell to Franck Kessie who had a pop at goal, but his shot was blocked by Casemiro who managed to divert the ball away while on the floor.
It was a brilliant piece of defending by Casemiro and one that had huge implications on the final score line. View his epic tackle and block below...
Just look at how far Casemiro was away from Roberto when the Spaniard intercepted De Gea's pass out from the back.
The desire and determination he displayed to keep his side just one goal down was admirable.
United have been drawn to face Spanish outfit, Real Betis, in the last 16 of the competition.
Betis have been having a decent season. They won their Europa League group and are currently fifth in La Liga.
However, United are high on confidence and will go into the match as the favourites.
The English giants will fancy their chances of not only beating Betis, but going on to win the whole competition.
