La Liga champions Barcelona have this weekend been urged to sanction deals for not one, but both of Marcus Rashford and Luis Díaz.
The names of Premier League pair Rashford and Díaz have of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.
This comes with both now back on the agenda at the Camp Nou, following Nico Williams’ decision to stay put at Athletic Club.
To date, reports have pointed towards Barca needing to make a call on which of the two players they are willing to go all out for.
This comes owing chiefly to the delicate financial situation in Catalunya at present.
As alluded to above, though, as much has not stopped a former member of the backroom staff in Barcelona, this weekend, from calling for the additions of both Rashford AND Díaz.
Writing in a column for Diario Sport, Bojan Krkić Sr, father of ex-Blaugrana attacker Bojan, and long-time club scout, revealed his take that Deco and co. should move for Manchester United wide-man Rashford on loan, and Liverpool standout Díaz on a permanent deal:
‘Both are in the best years of their careers (25-28 years old), and signing one – or both – would solve the problem of wingers and strikers for many years,’ he concludes.
