Casemiro even sent a message to his agent which read: ‘Tell them I’ll fix this’.

Fix it he has. United are currently on a seven-game winning run and occupy fourth place in the Premier League, with Casemiro a huge part of their turn around.

United will be looking to make it eight wins from eight when they host Manchester City in a mouthwatering Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

Casemiro is one of the first to arrive at training and is often in early to have breakfast with De Gea and Bruno Fernandes. He is also one of the last to leave.

Team-mates regularly go to him for advice, while Casemiro revels in the hectic English schedule and atmospheres in Premier League grounds.

He is said to study his opponents and their strengths and weaknesses in detail before games in order to gain the best possible advantage.

While has has also dedicated himself to learning English and takes lessons regularly.

Casemiro has already established himself as a fan favourite at United and, the way he’s going, he could well end his career as a club legend.
