Cardiff City are expected to to complete the loan signing of Sory Kaba from Midtjylland after a day of uncertainty about whether he would join.
It’s no secret that the Bluebirds are desperate to bring in a new number nine and reports emerged last night revealing that the 27-year-old was a top target for the Championship strugglers.
However, as the clock ticked down, it was then suggested that there were issues that could prevent the deal from going through before the 11pm deadline.
But, in a welcome positive boost for the club, reporter Glen Williams has revealed that there is an expectancy that Kaba will become a Cardiff player.
“Now believe club have ironed out potential complication with Sory Kaba deal. Looks likely a loan until the end of the season will get over the line.”
Sabri Lamouchi fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Luton Town on Tuesday night, a result which leaves the side just three points above the relegation zone but rivals Huddersfield Town have two games in hand.

The verdict
This is very good news for Cardiff as scoring goals is a huge problem for the club at the moment and they quite simply need more firepower.
Kaba does have a mixed record but he is a real physical presence and even if he isn’t prolific in the coming months, he should still improve the team with his ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play.
