Sheffield United picked up a hugely important win against Reading FC in the Championship last night, winning 1-0 thanks to Iliman Ndiaye’s second-half goal.

Talk around the Championship has been building around Paul Heckingbottom’s side’s promotion credentials after three defeats in four, which has allowed Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers to sneak up into the top-two conversation.

However, last night, Sheffield United came up trumps in their game in-hand, with Ndiaye converting Oli McBurnie’s cross in the second-half to tee up a 1-0 win.

That victory moves Heckingbottom’s side seven points clear of Boro in third and nine ahead of Blackburn in fourth, setting them up nicely to turn the screw over April and secure a Premier League return.

Naturally, there were some big celebrations at full-time, led by George Baldock, who helped Sheffield United over the line after replacing Jayden Bogle on 67 minutes.

As the footage above shows, Baldock was bullish with his full-time celebrations, making a point of congratulating Heckingbottom’s back-three: Chris Basham, John Egan and Jack Robinson, all at different points.
