Inter Milan wingback Tajon Buchanan says that he’s “feeling good on the pitch again” after coming back from a long injury.
The Canadian international spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after his team’s Serie A win over Como.
Buchanan was on the sidelines for several months at the start of the season.
The 25-year-old suffered a broken leg in training during the summer. This was during the Copa America with Canada.
And Buchanan had to undergo surgery on that injury.
The former Club Brugge man therefore had a very lengthy recovery period. He missed the first few months of the season with Inter.
Buchanan had to wait until November to make his first appearance of the season for Inter.
And the Canadian did not just return at his best. Far from it.
It was always going to be tough for a player who was out for long and recovered from such a serious injury to find their feet again.
Buchanan came off the bench in this evening’s Serie A win over Como.
“I’m doing well,” the Canadian said after the match. “I’m finally feeling like myself again.”
“I’m working to get back to 100%.”
“I’m starting to feel good on the pitch again,” Buchanan said.
The 25-year-old then noted that “This evening was a tough match.”
“They pressed a lot, and played a tough match.”
“We’re happy with the three points. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but we did well to maintain control of the match.”
Buchanan noted that “I think the most important thing was the three points, that’s all that mattered this evening.”
