Vincent Aboubakar. Take a bow son.
Cameroon were 3-1 down to Serbia and heading out of the World Cup on Monday, when Aboubakar was introduced from the bench.
Almost immediately the Al Nassr striker pulled a goal back with an audacious lob over goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić which will go down as one of the best goals of the tournament.
There was a suspicion of offside and perhaps Aboubakar’s finish was so nonchalant because he assumed the goal would be disallowed. Thankfully a VAR check ruled that he was onside, and the goal stood.
And moments later, the 30-year-old was involved again as he brilliantly assisted Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to complete a sensational comeback and make it 3-3.
Now that’s what we call a super sub!
