André Onana
André Onana spent a few days of his summer vacation in Cameroon. While meeting with several young players, the Manchester United goalkeeper delivered a heartfelt message to Cameroonian talents.
On break, André Onana naturally made a stop in Cameroon. The Red Devils' shot-stopper took advantage of his free time to meet with other Cameroonian players. Between the 2.0 tournament, holiday championships, and the local professional football scene, the former Inter Milan star shared his top-level experience with local athletes.
It was a golden opportunity for him to offer advice to these young Cameroonians, who look up to his remarkable journey as they carve out their own paths in football. This time, Onana was with players from Canon Yaoundé, the legendary club that produced icons like Albert Roger Milla, Emmanuel Kundé, Joseph-Antoine Bell, and Thomas Nkono.
"In football, luck plays a part. It's not always the best who succeed. I don't know if I was the best of my generation, I don't know if I was the best in my class. You just have to be ready, because when the train comes by, you have to be able to get on," Onana advised his young peers.
André Onana also emphasized the importance of always being prepared. "Maybe the train will pass today, in six months, or in ten years. You have to be patient and give yourself the means," he added.
