Callum Robinson has taken to Instagram to share a message with Cardiff City’s supporters ahead of his side’s return to Championship action this weekend.

The Bluebirds will be hoping to secure a positive result on Saturday when they head to the bet365 Stadium to face Stoke City in the second-tier.

Cardiff opted to hand over the reins to Mark Hudson on a permanent basis last month on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season after giving him the opportunity to oversee proceedings as an interim coach following the departure of Steve Morison.

With Hudson at the helm, the Bluebirds have managed to accumulate 13 points from 10 league games.

Currently 19th in the Championship, Cardiff will be desperate to climb the standings in the coming weeks.

In order to have the best chance of defeating Stoke, the Bluebirds will need Robinson to be firing on all cylinders in this particular fixture.

Having provided seven direct goal contributions for the club since sealing a switch from West Bromwich Albion earlier this year, the Republic of Ireland international will be confident in his ability to deliver the goods against the Potters.

“Back to it.”

The Verdict

Whereas it is fair to say that Robinson’s dismissal in Cardiff’s defeat to arch-rivals Swansea City was inexcusable, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if the forward makes up for this error in judgement between now and the end of the season.

A proven performer at this level, the 27-year-old knows exactly what it takes to compete as he has scored 45 goals and has produced 31 assists in 204 Championship appearances.

Currently averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.61, Robinson knows that he is likely to retain a spot in the club’s starting eleven for the foreseeable future if he steps up his performance levels.

By producing an eye-catching display on Saturday, the former West Brom man could potentially help the Bluebirds seal a positive result on their travels.
