Callum Hudson-Odoi has been superb for Chelsea in recent week’s playing regularly on the left of the front 3 and making up for the absence of several of our attacking options with his contributions.
Yesterday the whole team looked a little off, and while CHO played better than the other members of the attacking trident, without Ben Chilwell under and over-lapping around him he didn’t look as comfortable.
He also missed a chance he could well have scored, as he referred to in his comments on the club’s official website after the game.
“I feel like it’s two vital points dropped. We dominated the game, we had chances and even I had a big chance myself but it was a good save by De Gea.
“It was a disappointing one for us today. I thought we played really well, we worked hard off the ball and we deserved the three points so it definitely feels like two dropped.”
Let’s hope those points dropped aren’t as “vital” as he seems to think they are. Both this draw and the one in our last home game against Burnley have cost us our lead in the title race, and we really couldn’t afford to let such great chances to earn points slip through out fingers.
If we get CHO back to top form however, we can still go all the way.
