Inter’s Serie A title precession hit a bump Sunday evening as Cagliari stormed into Milan and snatched a point off the league leaders.

The league leaders got just the start they were looking for when Marcus Thuram snatched the lead inside 15 minutes, but the hosts struggled to find their second as the game wore on.

They were finally punished when Eldor Shomurodov tallied on the break for Cagliari, stunning the Inter faithful in the ground.

The soon-to-be champions responded well however, and they were rewarded for their efforts when Hakan Çalhanoğlu dispatched from the penalty-spot, seemingly grabbing all three points for Inter.

The visitors had other plans. Another rip-roaring counterattack was capped off by Nicolas Viola, earning a gutsy point for the 14th placed away side.
