BVB to face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the DFB-Pokal | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund will be at home to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the second round of the 2023/24 DFB-Pokal. The match will take place at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on 31 October or 1 November 2023.

Former Germany international Shkodran Mustafi drew the 16 pairings for the second round at the German Football Museum on Sunday.

BVB ran out 6-1 winners against TSV Schott Mainz in the first round of this year's cup competition in mid-August. Meanwhile, Hoffenheim progressed to the next round courtesy of a 4-1 victory away to VfB Lübeck.

BVB only travelled to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Friday, winning 3-1. In the DFB-Pokal, the two teams have faced each on two previous occasions at the quarter-final stage. Both games took place at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK: the Black & Yellows beat the then second-tier team by a 3-1 scoreline in February 2008, then won 3-2 after-extra time in April 2015.
