Trafford moves to Turf Moor in a reported £19m deal after spending last season on loan with League One outfit Bolton Wanderers.

It eclipses the club’s previous record arrival when they signed Chris Wood for a fee of £15m.

Vincent Kompany moved quickly to land the stopper from his former club as the Clarets look to consolidate their top flight return.

The former defender will take his new charges to the Etihad Stadium for their new season opener on 11 August.
