In a recent report, AS has mentioned that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid. It is understood that the Polish marksman wants to end his career playing for Los Blancos but is still under contract with the Munich giants until the summer of 2023 (via AS).

Lewandowski’s Incredible Form At The Allianz Arena Last Season

Lewandowski was a goal-scoring machine for Bayern last season as he put in numerous match-winning displays to help his team win the league title. The 32-year-old has banged in 48 goals and secured nine assists in 40 matches for the Bavarian giants in the previous campaign across all fronts.

The Warszawa-born sensation has been a consistent performer for his team after he averaged 4.7 shots, 1.1 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game in the 2020-21 Bundesliga campaign. He has even interchanged possession relatively well in the final third, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 77.2% in league football (stats via whoscored).

The experienced Poland international can still find the back of the net regularly at the top level, so he will be an exciting addition to Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti’s first team. At 32, Lewandowski might still have a few good years left in him to play at the top of his game and would improve the quality of Ancelotti’s squad considerably before the start of the new season.

Should Los Blancos Get Lewandowski On Board This Summer?

Lewandowski is one of the best headers in the game and can use his strong 1.85m frame to dominate the opposition centre-backs in the final third. He is a clinical finisher in front of the opponent’s goal and can also set up some clear-cut chances for his teammates up top.

The Poland international is proficient at generating a yard of space for himself to get a few accurate shots in on-target. He is good enough to replace Karim Benzema as Madrid’s main centre-forward, so Ancelotti would be wise to offer him a chance to seal a move to the Bernabeu this summer.

Lewandowski can still bang in goals for fun in European football that might give Los Blancos an edge as they look to build on their UEFA Champions League success in the coming seasons. All in all, the Madrid outfit should consider getting the Polish goal machine on board ahead of the new campaign.
