Currently in his second season at Real Madrid, Arda Guler continues to struggle with a lack of minutes under manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The 20-year-old Turkish prodigy endured an injury-riddled debut season and hardly played as a result, but his situation was expected to improve for him this season.

However, that is not how things have turned out as the versatile attacking midfielder continues to find minutes hard to come by, with Ancelotti still not trusting him fully.

This has given way to speculation about Guler’s future, with an exit in the summer not ruled out if his situation at Real Madrid does not improve.

Eintracht Frankfurt interested

Amidst this, journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have shown an interest in signing Arda Guler in the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga club are closely monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation at Real Madrid, aware that he is not entirely happy or satisfied with his lack of game-time under Ancelotti.

While there have been no concrete movements yet, Eintracht Frankfurt have Guler’s name on their wishlist as a possible reinforcement for the right flank.

However, the report adds that as things stand, their priority would be to sign Ritsu Doan from SC Freiburg.

Real Madrid could open the doors for a Bundesliga move

As reported earlier this week, the possibility of loaning Guler out to a Bundesliga side is something that Real Madrid would be willing to consider.

The Merengues have had positive experiences with players like Dani Carvajal and Achraf Hakimi, who improved a great deal after being sent out on loan to the Bundesliga.

As such, the door is not closed for Guler, or even his teammate Endrick, to secure a potential move to Germany in the summer, with RB Leipzig also showing interest.
