Hot on the heels of the Premier League's 'Top 10' scorers this season, Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has enjoyed a successful maiden campaign in English football - and the Norwegian's flying form of late coincided with a few tips from club legend Steve Bull.
Still the only third tier player ever to represent England at senior level, Bull scored 306 goals in 561 games for the Midlands club during his playing career and remains a familiar face around Molineux in his role as a club ambassador.
Speaking to Playmaker's sister site in Portugal, zerozero.pt, Bull confided that recent advice he gave to Strand Larsen appeared to be paying dividends for the forward, who has plundered six of his 13 Premier League goals in his last seven appearances.
"A few weeks ago, I visited the squad at the academy and Vítor (Pereira) asked me to talk to Strand Larsen about goals.
"He’s our striker. I spoke with him for 15 minutes. 'Strand, listen to me. My advice is this: you need to be more selfish. Everyone tries to score the perfect goal, but that doesn’t exist. What exists are goals, and you're a forward—people expect that from you'.
"I think it had an effect."
The 25-year-old has adapted well since his move from La Liga side Celta Vigo last summer, and Strand Larsen's strike partnership with Brazilian Matheus Cunha has yielded an impressive 26 goals and counting - only Liverpool's pair of Mo Salah and Luis Diaz (41 goals combined) and Brentford's duo of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa (36) forging more productive partnerships.
After a sticky start under Gary O'Neil, Wolves have roared clear of the relegation zone since Vitor Pereira's appointment last December and Strand Larsen's form has exemplified the collective improvement at Molineux in 2025.
Club legend Bull's advice appears to be paying off, and a 'selfish' Strand Larsen getting more shots off could spell trouble for opposition defences - given that the Norway international currently has the best shots-on-target percentage in the Premier League!
Of the striker's 53 shots this term, 32 of them have hit the target - his 60% shot-on-target ratio is the best in the entire top flight in 2024/25.
