Bukayo Saka is only 17 years old and has the world at his feet.
On New Year’s Day, Saka became the first player born in 2001 to feature in a Premier League match when he came on as an 83rd-minute substitute during Arsenal’s 4-1 triumph over London-rivals Fulham.
However, that wasn’t the only notable accolade Saka picked up on Tuesday.
By sporting the number 87, Saka wore the highest number to ever appear in the Premier League. The previous record was 78, worn by Manchester City’s José Ángel Pozo, who now plies his trade with Rayo Vallecano.
During Saka’s seven-minute (plus stoppage time) cameo, the young five-foot-ten-inch winger managed to touch the ball a total of zero times.
Saka made his Arsenal debut back on 29 November during their 3-0 Europa League win away at Vorskla Poltava.
The youngster has been in the Arsenal academy since he was nine years old and certainly has a bright future ahead of him.
