Manchester United are preparing to face Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League this Sunday. The former side have managed to win only one game out of their last five fixtures across all competitions. Hence, they are low in confidence and aren’t carrying a good momentum behind them.
The Red Devils have slipped to the 14th position on the points table and they need to buckle up before it gets too late. Hence, Ruben Amorim’s side will be desperate to prove themselves and extract a positive result out of this fixture.
Defence
There has been a debate recently over the quality of Andre Onana but that shouldn’t keep him away from operating between the sticks.
While Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire continue in the three-man lineup, Lisandro Martinez will likely face the heat after a poor display. His position will surely be grabbed up by Leny Yoro.

Midfield
Noussair Mazraoui is once again the right full-back in the lineup with Diogo Dalot taking care of the other side. However, the two need to contribute more significantly in both aspects of the game.
Manuel Ugarte is available agan after missing the previous game due to suspension. He will form the midfield duo with young Kobbie Mainoo. It makes sense too as Casemiro and Christian Eriksen weren’t effective enough to control the midfield.
Attack
Amad Diallo continues to operate on the right flank with Rasmus Hojlund being the lone striker. Bruno Fernandes is also available now and should replace Joshua Zirkzee, who had another disastrous outing.
Marcus Rashford made it into the squad against Newcastle United but no way he is starting this game.
Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw are all sidelined due to injuries.
