When and where

City travel to Ashton Gate on Wednesday 25 January, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 (UK).

Competition format

Having progressed from the group stages, City now enter the first knockout stage of the Conti Cup, meaning the victors will be decided on Wednesday evening.

If the two teams can't be separated in normal time, then an additional 30 minutes will be played.

Should the scores still remain level, then a penalty shootout will take place at Ashton Gate.

Form guide

Gareth Taylor's side sit fourth in the Barclays WSL and are unbeaten in our last 13 matches in all competitions; a run stretching back to September 2022.

We also boast a 100% record in the Continental Cup, and are yet to concede in the competition this season having finished top of Group B.

Meanwhile, Bristol City are second in the Women's Championship and unbeaten since November in all competitions.

They finished top of Group D in the Conti Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Lewes in their final match.

Last time out

City were held to a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in our first home match of 2023.

Deyna Castellanos' first WSL goal of the season handed the hosts the lead as the half-hour approached, with the Venezuelan poking the ball home after her clever run in behind was fed by Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw.

But Kirsty Hanson grabbed the equaliser soon after from close-range, with neither side able to find a decisive second in front of over 3,000 fans at the Academy Stadium.

Previous meeting

Goals from Caroline Weir, Ellen White and Sam Mewis earned City a dominant 3-0 win over the Vixens in March 2021.

It was our tenth WSL victory on the spin as we stayed within touching distance of Chelsea in the battle for the league title.
