Fifth-placed Brighton stayed six points ahead of Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League after equalising to draw with their visitors.
After a first half of very few goal threats, Brighton goalkeeper kept out a Beth England effort and Spurs custodian Eleanor Heaps turned behind a Nikita Parris shot.
Tottenham made the breakthrough in the 76th minute, Martha Thomas cutting back a pass from Jess Naz for England to sweep into the far corner.
Naz should have doubled the lead seconds later but skewed her shot wide from the cross by Hayley Raso.
With eight minutes left the hosts were back on level terms, the ball falling to Marisa Olislagers beyond the far post and she lofted a shot into the far top corner.
Thomas fired wide from Naz’s perfectly-weighted pass, while Michelle Agyemang didn’t make the best of a couple of opportunities for Brighton.
