Brighton & Hove Albion’s interim head coach Mikey Harris says that his side will look to take the game to opponents Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The Seagulls travel to the Gaughan Group Stadium in Leyton to take on Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

When speaking in the pre-match press conference, Brighton & Hove Albion’s interim boss Harris said that his side will look to take the game to Spurs and play with confidence.

“These are the games that you want to play in,” Harris said. “Tottenham are a really good team, I’ve watched a lot of them this week and previously. I’m impressed with the way that they play and with their style, obviously, they’ve got an FA Cup final to look forward to.

“We understand the scale of the task that’s in front of us but I’m really confident that we can go there and perform. We are looking to take the game to them, so we will do that, play with confidence and freedom, hope that we can put in an entertaining performance and get a result.”

Brighton & Hove Albion have just three games left to play this season, however, Harris wants his side to chase the nine points that are available and look to develop their identity further.

He said “We want to build on what we’ve been doing. The important things for me are the way we play, the identity in which we play with, the intensity and the desire. The players themselves have spoken about being hungry for the last three games.

“It’s easy when you get to this stage of the season and one could argue that there’s nothing to play for. I certainly don’t subscribe to that, there’s always something to play for because there are three points on the line every match. From my perspective, nothing changes, we want to finish as high as we possibly can and we want to do it with an identity that reflects us as a group and the football club. We want to entertain and we want to perform.”

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur kicks-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
