Julio Enciso’s (21) move to Strasbourg is off, as per L’Equipe. The Brighton and Hove Albion FC attacking midfielder was the subject of a €15m agreement between the Seagulls and BlueCo, which owns Chelsea FC and Racing Club Strasbourg Alsace. The Paraguay international was set to initially spend time with Liam Rosenior’s Alsatians, before being viewed as a long-term Chelsea player afterwards.

However, the move was in jeopardy due to Enciso’s fitness. BlueCo and Strasbourg were awaiting medical exams before moving forward with a deal for the attacking midfielder, who underwent knee surgery in June. Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler confirmed in Thursday’s press conference that Enciso returned to rehab training. “We always have an open conversation with Julio and we will see what happens in the next days.“
