Our continued commitment to delivering excellent fan engagement underpinned our activity throughout the 2024/25 season. Many of our achievements from last year can be seen in our new video recap.
Efforts to grow and celebrate the relationship between Brentford and its fans were again recognised in the Premier League’s matchday fan experience survey.
We retained second place amongst Premier League clubs with an increased score of 83.6 (out of 100), surpassing the league average of 66.7. This marked Brentford’s third consecutive season in the top two places and bucks the trend across the Premier League where the overall score has continued to go down over recent seasons.
Last season saw the launch of our groundbreaking Gen10 initiative that responded to the club and fans’ shared desire to make it more affordable for families travelling to away games. By subsidising the cost of a junior away ticket to watch Brentford in the Premier League, attendances increased by 35 per cent, and over 100 junior fans went to an away game for the first time.
In addition, we were awarded Club of the Year at the Football Business Awards where the club was commended by the judges for “making football accessible and affordable for our fans” and that “on-field success was backed by strong fan engagement and community responsibility”.
We’re proud of our progress this year, but we want to keep improving. Our fifth season in the Premier League begins with changes across the club, and keeping fans connected to Brentford is how we ensure these changes are successful.
Our 2025/26 plan is a commitment to making sure our fans feel valued, respected and heard. It provides a detailed explanation of the activity we will undertake to connect with supporters across our five pillars: fan consultation and involvement, fan experience, fan behaviour, fan support, and fan communication.
Chief executive Jon Varney said: “Our fans are at the heart of everything we do at Brentford. From shaping key policies like our season ticket plans to creating an unforgettable matchday atmosphere, our supporters play a key role in making this club what it is.
"Brentford is not a club that moves forward alone. Our strength comes from our togetherness, working with our fans every step of the way. I’m excited to see the continued passion and support of our supporters as we push for greater success for Brentford.”
