According to Foot Mercato, following the naming of Enzo Djebali as sporting director at the club, FC Versailles are set to appoint former Le Mans boss Cris to replace Youssef Chibhi who was sacked around ten days ago for ‘off pitch reasons’.

The Brazilian has just been sacked by Le Mans, and will immediately make the switch to Versailles – who currently sit second in France’s third tier behind Concarneau. He reportedly asked to be sacked following poor performances with the Sang & Or with the club sitting 13th in the National.

Former Versailles boss Youssef Chibhi was sacked for ‘off pitch reasons’, somewhat linked to the on-going criminal investigation into accusations that he was suspected of filming women without their consent, which concerned a young women he employed as his cat-sitter. Chibhi is currently a suspect in an investigation over alleged invasion of privacy and recording of pornographic images of a minor under 15.
