Flamengo’s youth sides are certainly one of the most important in Brazilian football and will be crucial for the Rubro-Negro to move past their Covid-19-related financial difficulties.
Vitor Gabriel is a prime example of the quality Flamengo have been able to produce, with the striker already standing out in Portugal.
Now, representatives from Braga are said to be coming to Brazil to make the option to buy the player official.
Though the 21-year-old has yet to play a single minute for Braga’s first-team, he’s drawn plenty of attention for his performances, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances this season.
Despite the player’s high potential, Flamengo look well-positioned to make a good amount of money from his sale.
Currently, Braga are willing to pay €2.5m for just 50% of the player’s economic rights, meaning Flamengo will be in line to make a very decent amount should his career take off.
