Yoane Wissa could soon be set to complete a quickfire hat-trick of transfer successes for Newcastle United.

Malick Thiaw’s move from AC Milan was confirmed on Tuesday night.

Whilst it is now reported by The Times and others, that United will soon also be announcing Jacob Ramsey as an arrival from Aston Villa.

The Yoane Wissa deal has been held up for some weeks now, due to the fact that Brentford want to bring in a new attacking signing before allowing Wissa to follow Bryan Mbeumo out of the door.

Wednesday has brought claims in both Germany and the UK, that Bournemouth are now close to signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Amine Adli.

If the Cherries get their man, it is understood that Dango Ouattara would then be allowed to join Brentford from Bournemouth, thus the Bees finally feel able to let Yoane Wissa move on.

Wissa will be Callum Wilson’s replacement at Newcastle United, when/if he moves from Brentford. The Alexander Isak situation separate to this, as Eddie Howe will still need either Isak or a replacement to be the main striker.

With Elanga, Ramsdale and Thiaw already on Tyneside, if Ramsey and Wissa can be quickly added this could be very much a transfer window transformed, as Eddie Howe looks to assemble a squad able to compete on four fronts next season.
