As reported by Bild, Borussia Mönchengladbach are keen to lure Hertha Berlin talent Bence Dárdai to Borussia-Park.
It is understood that the 17-year-old is the most talented out of Pal Dárdai’s three sons, with Márton Dárdai currently representing Hertha’s first team. The Hertha Berlin head coach included his son Bence during Die Alte Dame’s friendly against Young Boys recently, and the teenager proved to be the best player on the pitch scoring the third goal in a 4-2 win.
However, Gladbach do face competition from a number of top European clubs such as Juventus and AC Milan, who have been monitoring Dárdai for some time. However, all possibilities are open to the 17-year-old, who would receive praise from his father after the friendly win: “Bence plays the passes up front that you can’t defend, just the deadly passes, that’s his strength.”
Last season, Dárdai would feature 21 times for Hertha’s under-19s where he scored six goals and collected 11 assists from attacking midfield. He would also play a key role in Germany’s under-17s European Championship victory, scoring the decisive penalty as they overcame France in the final.
So far this window the Foals have relied upon transfers that earnt them their nickname back in the 1960s by attracting youth to the squad with the signings of Fabio Chiarodia (Werder Bremen) and Grant-Leon Ranos (Bayern Munich). The possible acquisition of Dárdai could help Gladbach become a competitive Bundesliga side in the long term once again.
